Parks & Recreation
Willaim H. May Park is located from Railroad Street to Main Street and from Knob Avenue to the alley west of the park. The historic May Cabin was relocated to May Park. The park is Rockvale's only park for picnics and small gatherings and has one park shelter available for reservation. In 2025 a new off-street parking lot was added. Currently being revitalized to improve the usable space and to become the park we would all like to see for our community!
Miners Park is located on Rockafellow Street next to the Town Hall. The baseball field can be used by residents and the general public.
Bighorn Trail is located on Fremont Street near the southwestern border of Rockvale across from the Town Field. Parking is available at the trailhead near Mesa Park; however overnight parking is not allowed. The natural trail is steep and rugged at the beginning, with sandstone trails, rocky outcroppings and beautiful views of Pikes Peak, the Arkansas River Valley, Wet Mountains and the surrounding area. Watch out for snakes and other wildlife! No facilities available, dawn to dusk hours and no camping.
The Rockvale Community Building is available to rent for gatherings, parties and other special events. Please contact the Town Hall for more Information
