The Little Town with a Big Heart!

Welcome to the Town of Rockvale, a statutory municipality with a population of 515, nestled in southeastern Fremont County, about three miles south-west of Florence, Colorado. Sitting at an elevation of 5,463 feet, Rockvale covers just over two square miles of land.  Although Rockvale and its vicinity have a strong history in coal mining, the area is now primarily residential.   Rockvale enjoys around 258 sunny days annually, making it a pleasant place for outdoor activities. The community values its small-town atmosphere, picturesque rocky landscape, views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains.
